Favored by chairmakers, these Japanese-made bits have a short lead point and chamfered cutting spurs that score the hole perimeter for drilling clean through-holes with minimal blowout (without a sacrificial backing board), as well as drilling accurately sized holes at slight angles.
Made of induction-hardened high-carbon steel, the 6 1/2″ long bits have two large flutes for clearing waste and to prevent clogging.
Available in Imperial sizes. Sold individually in diameters from 3/8″ to 1 1/4″, all with 1/4″ hex shanks.
