Identical to the larger of two spoon blanks included with our MIY spoon carving kit, this basswood blank is available separately to offer carvers more options for spoon carving projects.

A light-colored, medium-density wood, basswood is easy to work, with straight grain and a fine, even texture that takes detail well. It’s also safe for food contact.

Pre-cut to a rough spoon shape, the 1″ thick blank is 12″ long and 3″ wide.
