Fresh-ground nutmeg is more flavorful than the pre-ground spice available in stores. This grinder lets you grind only the amount you need from the nutmeg seeds, and seal extra seeds in a container on the top, preserving the oils and flavor of the remaining nutmeg for later.
Similar in operation to a pepper mill, it is easier to use than a rasp or zester and produces a consistently fine powder. A cap catches the ground spice and covers the grinder when not in use, so it doesn’t leave a mess behind when you set it down.
At 5″ tall and 2 1/2″ in diameter, the mill is small enough to store in a rack with your other spices.
