New Lee Valley Veritas Aluminum Straightedges

Shop accuracy begins with a benchmark straightedge as a surface reference. Our anodized aluminum straightedges will not rust, and they are wide enough to stand on edge unsupported, so you have both hands free to make precise adjustments to your tools.

Extremely useful for setting up machines such as planers and jointers, they are 1 3/4″ high and 7/16″ thick, and the reference edge is machined flat to within 0.003″ over the entire length. They are available in four lengths, with weights ranging from just under 1 lb to just under 2 lb. All have hang holes, allowing storage on a nail or hook.
