Discount Lee Valley Upholsterer’s Hammer

This magnetic hammer is handy anywhere work needs to be secured with one hand while tacks or brads are started with the other. It has been traditionally used with a webbing stretcher. Tacks are held on the magnetic hammer tip for starting, and are then driven home with the larger, non-magnetic end.

Both tips have 1/4″ thick steel faces for durability. The magnetic end is a scant 3/8″ and the non-magnetic end is about 1/2″ in diameter. Nicely balanced, the hammer is 10 5/8″ overall with a 7 oz bronze head and a wedged hickory handle.
