Cheap Lee Valley Sorby Corner Chisels

Corner chisels are used for truing corners and general clean-up.

These two are milled from solid bars of steel. The 3/8″ is 5 1/2″ to the shoulder and 10″ long overall. The 1″ chisel is 9 3/8″ to the shoulder and 18 1/2″ long overall. For general cabinetmaking, only the 3/8″ would be used.

The 1″ should be used for large mortises such as those used in timber framing.
