Cheap Lee Valley Sorby Boxwood-Handled Paring Chisels

These Sheffield steel paring chisels have handles of close-grained boxwood with brass ferrules. The long, thin blades taper toward the cutting edge and are about 9 1/2″ long.

Used for paring cuts, these chisels are usually sharpened at a low bevel angle for smooth action in cross-grain work. They are normally used with both hands or tapped lightly with a mallet.

Available separately or in a set of three or four sizes.
