Cheap Lee Valley Japanese-Style Layout Square

This compact combination square/miter is suitable for both joint layout and machine set-up. It comes in Imperial and metric versions (graduated in 16ths or millimetres) with clear etched and black-filled markings on both sides. About 6 3/4″ long, it has a 3 3/4″ wide hardened stainless-steel blade that resists scoring.

It can be used for any joint incorporating a miter, or any joint requiring a line at 90° to a surface, such as tenons, dovetails and half-laps. The 5/8″ wide base registers solidly when setting table saw blades and jointer fences.

Accurate to ±1/10°. Excellent quality.
