Cheap Lee Valley 36″ Poplar Dowel Rods

Durable and easy to work with, these 36″ unfinished poplar dowel rods handle screws well and offer consistent quality for furniture and DIY applications. They are light-colored with a tight grain that holds paint and stain well, or can be clear coated or simply left natural.

At 6% to 8% moisture content, the dowels are accurate to ±1/64″. They range in diameter from 1/4″ to 2″.

If you have humid storage conditions, store your dowel rods in a sealed plastic bag to help prevent warpage and swelling.
