To create a strong, snug joint between a mitered end and an adjacent face, this hinged all-steel connector can be set at any angle up to 180°. To tighten or loosen the connector, simply adjust the geared mechanism using a hex bit. At one end of the bolt, an anchor seats in a 25mm (1″) dia. by 12.5mm (1/2″) deep recess, centered 60mm (2 3/8″) from the heel of the miter. At the other end, a 10mm (13/32″) diameter, 21mm (13/16″) long flanged insert nut is mounted in the wood (or wood composite). As the parts are drawn together, an elbow hinge in the bolt adjusts to ensure a flush connection.
2″ long steel bit with a 1/4″ hex shank sold separately.
