Produced by one of Germany’s oldest tool-making firms, these professional-quality gouges are the style traditionally favored by European carvers. The natural finish hornbeam handles have excellent impact resistance, and their octagonal shape gives a secure grip and prevents rolling on the bench. The fully polished blades are hand forged from high-carbon steel, hardened to Rc61 for durability, and require only final stropping.

These spoon gouges have the same sweep as straight gouges of the same number, but with a spoon-shaped tip for fine concave shaping or work in confined areas.
