Best Lee Valley Bessey Hold-Down Clamp, Straight Handle

This hold-down clamp is an efficient way to secure work to a workbench with a grid of dog holes. Similar to Bessey’s fast-acting clamps, it has a movable jaw that can be quickly adjusted to different heights. It has an 8″ capacity and 4″ throat depth. The sturdy 7/8″ × 3/8″ rail, with a profile similar to an I-beam, is rigid enough to withstand up to 550 lb of clamping force.

The synthetic handle used to tighten the clamp has rubber sections for grip. Acme-cut threads on the spindle allow smooth travel when making adjustments.

Originally designed to mount on a steel welding bench using a 16mm bolt, the tempered steel clamp requires a workbench adapter (available separately) for use on a wooden bench.
